Brocante de Carouge

The Brocante de Carouge takes place from March to December on the first Sunday of the month in the historic centre of Carouge near Genève. The market stalls stretch along the Rue Saint-Joseph from the Place d'Armes to the Place du Marché, combining the antiques and brocante offerings with the shops and cafés of the town centre.

The range includes antiques, vintage furniture, porcelain, ceramics, glassware, old books, pictures, silver cutlery, lamps and decorative collector's items. You'll find numerous carefully presented antiques and high quality older objects, including historic petroleum lamps, illustrated books and selected glass and porcelain ware. Alongside professional brocanteurs, other vendors with varied ranges are also present.

A special feature is the close connection between the market and the historic townscape. The stalls stand among the old house façades, restaurants, bistros and crêperies. The numerous street cafés and open shops contribute to a lively atmosphere that combines a visit to the market with a stroll through Carouge.

The brocante offers a varied selection for lovers of antiques and vintage objects and is at the same time a fixed part of the town's Sunday life. In bad weather it can be cancelled or shortened.
