Kofferraum-Flohmarkt Ace Cafe Luzern

In the middle of the industrial district of Rothenburg-Station, the area around the Ace Cafe Luzern turns into a lively car boot sale on the first Sunday of every month. The Ace Cafe is known above all as a meeting point for the motorcycle, car and vintage car scene. At the flea market, however, it is not the vehicles but the items people bring along that take centre stage.

The sellers drive straight onto the site and offer their goods next to the parked cars. The range is wide: crockery, household items, old toys, tools, vintage pieces, collectibles, curiosities and occasionally vehicle parts, though very few clothes. The atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed, with many families and lively trading. The stalls are generously spaced out, and visitor parking is right nearby.

One special feature is the uncomplicated concept: sellers need no advance registration, but simply drive up spontaneously in the morning with a loaded car. Stall spots are given out in order of arrival, as long as space is available, so every date looks a little different. It is precisely this unpredictability that is part of the appeal. Anyone needing a break from browsing can refuel at the Ace Cafe with coffee, breakfast or a meal.
