Strassenflohmarkt Rafz

The Strassenflohmarkt Rafz transforms the Märktgass in the village centre once a year, on a Saturday in September, into a lively, car-free flea market. The event, organised by the Rafzer Flomi-Fraue, comprises around 70 private sales stalls and combines a traditional street flea market with a sociable village festival.

On offer are used clothes, shoes, toys, children's items, books, crockery, decorative objects, handmade pieces and various finds from private households. Older vintage objects and occasional collector's items can also be found among them. The focus is on personal second-hand goods and not on commercial antiques or junk trading, since only your own used items may be sold.

The stalls line up along the Märktgass, which is closed to traffic. Through its integration into the village centre, a cohesive market area emerges, where browsing is as much part of the visit as meeting neighbours and acquaintances. There is already lively activity in the early morning.

A special feature is the family character of the event. A carousel and games for children, as well as a Märtkafi with coffee, cake and, at midday, Flammkuchen, make the Strassenflohmarkt a meeting point for the whole village.

The market is especially suited to visitors who enjoy searching for surprising finds among private second-hand offerings and who appreciate the relaxed atmosphere of a traditional village flea market.
