The Saaner Brocante & Markt transforms the historic village centre of Saanen in the Bernese Oberland once a year into a large antiques and brocante market. Around 120 sales stalls are spread along the Dorfstrasse and the Bahnhofstrasse, which are closed to traffic during the event.

The offering is clearly focused on antiques, high quality vintage objects and traditional brocante. Besides porcelain, ceramics, glassware, jewellery, furniture and collectibles, you'll find enamelware, older household items and rural antiques. Regional products and market stalls with food round out the range.

A special feature is the quality and variety of the older items on offer. There are numerous carefully assembled brocante selections to find, including interesting ceramics, historic glass and traditional everyday objects from rural areas. The focus is clearly on antiques and vintage.

The sales stalls stretch through the historic chalet village with its richly decorated wooden facades, traditional houses and narrow streets. Restaurants, cafés and bakeries offer seating along the market activity. Musical performances and a varied range of food and drink give the event the additional character of a big village festival.

The Saaner Brocante attracts a mixed, international audience and can be very busy, especially around midday. If you want to search specifically for special pieces, you'll benefit from an early visit. Additional parking options are offered around the village centre.

The combination of a sophisticated antiques offering and the historic surroundings makes the Saaner Brocante a particularly distinctive event in the Bernese Oberland.
