Hospiz-Flohmarkt Appenzell

A flea market of private sellers in the middle of Appenzell, spread over the Postplatz and the garden of the Appenzeller Käse. It is run by the Hospiz-Dienst Appenzell, the volunteer service that accompanies the seriously ill, and the takings of the Hospiz stall itself go to that service; the other sellers keep their own. It runs on Saturdays in dry weather only, and a wet forecast means the day is called off on the organiser's homepage rather than moved.
