Brocki-Flohmi Arche Brockenhaus

The Brocki-Flohmi at Arche Brockenhaus in Zürich Altstetten combines a classic flea market with the offerings of an established secondhand shop. The event takes place on a Saturday in late summer in the forecourt and inner courtyard of the Arche on Hohlstrasse, only in fine weather, and supplements the regular range of the secondhand shop with additional private sales stands.

Around 20 to 30 vendors present a varied mix of used household items, crockery, books, clothing, decorative items, vintage objects and various finds. The combination of private flea market stalls and the regular secondhand shop offering creates different opportunities for browsing.

The sales stands are spread across several areas around the building. The market is manageable and has an uncomplicated, familiar character. There is a lively, relaxed atmosphere, and many visitors already know the secondhand shop.

The Arche Brockenhaus belongs to a non-profit association and is at the same time a business for professional integration. The Flohmi thus combines traditional secondhand trade with the social background of the institution. A food truck, a grill and drinks complement the event.
