Bäcki-Bazaar

The Bäcki-Bazaar is a private secondhand clothing market on the Bäckeranlage in Zürich's Kreis 4. The focus is on used clothes, shoes and accessories from private wardrobes. Commercial dealers are not admitted, which clearly sets the market apart from commercial vintage fairs.

The sales stalls are spread along the paths through the green space. What's offered is mainly women's fashion and clothing for teenagers, from everyday pieces to the occasional more unusual find. Participation is open to adults and teenagers from 13 years old; stall spots are given out without registration and without prior reservation, on a first come, first served basis.

The Bäcki-Bazaar is deliberately organised in an uncomplicated way and is strongly rooted in the neighbourhood. The Bäckeranlage, with its trees, seating, playground and table tennis tables, offers an open setting where you can combine hunting for clothes with neighbourly get-togethers. Unsold pieces in good condition can be donated at the end to the social programme of the Psychiatrische Universitätsklinik Zürich.

Right next to the park is the Brot Bistro & Bar. The market is aimed especially at visitors who enjoy looking for clothing and accessories among private secondhand offerings, and less at collectors of antiques or classic vintage objects.
