24h-Flohmarkt Konstanz / Kreuzlingen

The 24h-Flohmarkt Konstanz / Kreuzlingen is a cross-border major event on the Bodensee, where trading and browsing goes on for 24 hours without interruption. The market connects the German town of Konstanz with the Swiss Kreuzlingen, takes place each year on a weekend in June from Saturday to Sunday afternoon, and draws tens of thousands to the lake every year.

Around a thousand stalls offer a remarkably broad mix of house clearances, used everyday items, clothes, books and toys, as well as vintage objects, antiques and collectibles. Private sellers stand alongside experienced flea market traders, so simple second-hand goods alternate with carefully curated assortments.

Besides the actual flea market, music, street food and various entertainment offerings shape the event. Accordingly, the event also has the character of a large town and folk festival.

Particularly unusual is the continuous opening time. While lively activity prevails in the afternoon and evening, visitors can also browse among the stalls at night and into the early morning hours. The combination of flea market, festival atmosphere and cross-border encounter makes the event a distinctive format.

For many years, the Marketing und Tourismus GmbH Konstanz (MTK) organised the market, in 2026 for the first time at a new location, compact along the Kunstgrenze. After two years of losses and increased security and liability risks, the MTK is withdrawing, and the Konstanz city council approved this in September 2026. The town is now considering another organiser, a smaller format or the expansion of the neighbourhood flea markets. Whether there will be an edition in 2027 remains open.
