The original svuotacantine, a cellar-clearing market, held on the Manor car park in Ascona. It began in 2018 with 21 sellers and had grown to 100 by 2024; since 2025 it runs three times a year, in spring, early summer and September. Sellers clear out cellars and attics and sell from their own cars. The association I Mercantini runs it and gives the takings of its drinks cart, the Birroccio, to local causes.
