Wetziker Hallenflohmarkt
The Wetziker Hallenflohmarkt is a young initiative in the Zürcher Oberland and takes place in the Kronensaal on Bahnhofstrasse 163 in Wetzikon. It is run by three siblings who love going to flea markets themselves and turned that into the idea for a market of their own, one that neither rain nor cold can spoil.
The premiere took place in September 2026 in the Pfarreizentrum Heilig Geist, with around 40 to 50 stalls. The market is open to private individuals, families, clubs and traders who want to give used things a second life. On offer are classic flea market goods, from household items, furniture and books to toys, electronics and jewellery, to handmade pieces, vintage finds and all sorts of curiosities. Clothes are welcome, but may make up at most half of a stall, since the Hallenflohmarkt is explicitly not meant to be a clothing exchange.
During our visit to the first edition, the market showed its family side: children played, families and older visitors came together, and the closely set tables had a relaxed, easy-going feel.
The three run it with plenty of initiative and enthusiasm and keep developing it edition by edition, since the second one in the Kronensaal. Browsing happens indoors in any weather, and the grill stand sells Bratwurst and Cervelat.
