Flohmarkt Vögeligärtli Luzern
The Flohmarkt Vögeligärtli takes place on the Vögeligärtli near the Sempachergarten in Luzern, just a few minutes' walk from the station. The market is open every Saturday from May to October and is the largest flea market in Luzern's Neustadt. The stalls are spread around the central green space, giving the market an open, generous and relaxed atmosphere. Despite its closeness to the city centre, the Vögeligärtli is a distinctly local flea market with a loyal regular crowd and a cosy, unhurried character.
The range is varied and goes from classic flea market items and household goods to tools, crockery, ceramics, vintage objects and unusual finds. Only secondhand goods are sold, and textiles may make up at most a quarter of a stall. Alongside everyday secondhand goods, you keep finding more special and high quality pieces that are also interesting for collectors and lovers of older items. The mix is what makes it appealing: you never quite know what awaits you between the stalls.
The Flohmarkt Vögeligärtli is an established meeting point for anyone who likes to browse at leisure, chat with the sellers and search for special things. The stall spaces are a uniform 3 by 2 metres and are allocated online three weeks in advance each time. Thanks to its central location, a visit can easily be combined with a walk or a shopping stroll through Luzern.
