Flohmarkt Bürkliplatz
The Flohmarkt Bürkliplatz is one of the best known and most traditional flea markets in Zürich. It takes place from May to the end of October every Saturday on the Bürkliplatz at the lower end of the Bahnhofstrasse, just a few steps from the Zürichsee. It is organised by the Vereinigung Zürcher Flohmarkt.
The range includes antiques, vintage furniture, porcelain, ceramics, glassware, jewellery, pictures, books, records and numerous collector's items. Alongside these you will find used household goods, clothing and curiosities. The mix of traditional flea market stalls and vendors with more specialised offerings makes the market attractive for different collecting interests.
What is characteristic is the central location between Zürich's city centre and the lake. The stalls are spread across the spacious square, where regular dealers, collectors, tourists and local flea market visitors meet. Especially at the start of the season, well stocked stalls, conversations among familiar market visitors and a lively atmosphere shape the scene.
The Bürkliplatz is suited both to a targeted search for older individual pieces and to an extended flea market stroll. Its location lets you combine the market visit with a walk by the lake or time spent in Zürich's city centre.
