Floh- und Gänggalimarkt Chur

The Floh- und Gänggalimarkt Chur is a traditional flea market in the historic old town of the Graubünden cantonal capital. It is considered the largest flea market in southeastern Switzerland and takes place all year round on the first Saturday of the month. The Arcasplatz, with its old house facades and surrounding lanes, offers a characteristic setting for the sale of used goods and all kinds of found items.

The range on offer is wide and includes household items, crockery, books, clothing, toys, children's articles, older decorative objects and individual antiques. Sports equipment, tools and occasional farming implements are also part of the selection. The market is not geared towards particular collecting areas, but corresponds to a varied, traditional flea market.

The sales stands mostly consist of simple tables set up close together. There is no prior registration: if you want to sell, you secure your spot from 7 a.m. by laying out a blanket. The market is extraordinarily well attended, with a cross-generational public and lively activity on the historic square.

There are no food stands of its own, but the cafés and restaurants around the Arcasplatz complement the market activity. Thanks to its central location, the flea market can easily be combined with a stroll through Chur's old town.
