Floh- und Antiquitäten Markt Mellingen
The Floh- und Antiquitäten Markt Mellingen stretches through the historic old town of the small Aargau town on the Reuss. It takes place three times a year, in spring, in autumn and as the Chlausmarkt in December. The market stalls are spread along the Hauptgasse, across squares and through smaller lanes, so that new areas keep opening up as you stroll through.
The range includes a varied mix of traditional flea market items, antiques, vintage objects and collectibles. Alongside crockery, household goods, books and decorative items, you'll also find older tools, rural everyday objects and special one off pieces. The market has a strongly local character, but still offers interesting finds for lovers of older objects.
Characteristic is its integration into the entire old town. The historic house facades, winding lanes and numerous stalls create a varied market setting. The event attracts visitors of various generations and combines trading with lively village and town life.
Food stands and occasional musical performances complement the market. Organised by the Marktkommission Mellingen, the market suits both dedicated treasure hunters and an extended Sunday stroll through the old town.
