Brocante de Lutry
The Brocante de Lutry is an annual, three day antiques and brocante event on the quays of Lutry on Lake Geneva, taking place every year in mid June from Friday afternoon to Sunday. Organised by Jacques Dufour and Swiss Brocante, the event combines a specialised range of dealers with an attractive setting right on the lake, against the backdrop of the Alps and the vineyards of Lavaux, true to its motto «Le lac et les alpes admirent des pépites».
Around 70 professional dealers present antiques, furniture, porcelain, ceramics, glassware, silver, jewellery and decorative objects from various eras. The range includes both classic antiques and selected vintage pieces and collectibles. The stalls are often carefully arranged and focused on particular collecting fields.
Among other things you can find high quality ceramics, historic glass and individual pieces from renowned glass manufactories. The focus is clearly on antiques and selected dealer goods, less on ordinary second hand items.
The stalls line up along the lakeside promenade. The immediate closeness to the water, the view of the Alps and the restaurants and cafés in the historic town centre make the Brocante a combination of a specialised antiques market and a stay by Lake Geneva.

We spent Friday on the quays of Lutry, and the market lived up to what the setting promises. Nearly 70 professional dealers, beautifully staged antiques and ceramics right on Lake Geneva, and among them even a few pieces by Daum and Gallé.
